What is Build Joy?
A 501c3 nonprofit organization. Build Joy provides creative play experiences, and family support resources to children facing cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as their siblings, helping families find moments of joy, connection, and normalcy during treatment.
Why LEGOs?
They are more than just a fun toy. They can contribute to motor skill development, confidence, inclusive play, and provide a creative outlet.
Who does Build Joy support?
Children with pediatric cancer and their siblings.Â
How are families selected?
Families can submit an application to receive a gift, or someone else can nominate them. Gifts will be provided based on funds available.Â
Can siblings receive sets too?
Absolutely! We want siblings to experience the joy of LEGO as well.
How can I donate?
Monetary donations can currently be made through our Zeffy link.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, if you donate through our online donation page you will receive a letter via email.
Can I donate sets instead of money?
You can! Please contact us via email or phone to discuss logistics of donating or if you want to set up a drive.
How else can I help?
We are a brand new organization and looking for others who want to help Build Joy. People can help by spreading the word via social media, participating in a fundraiser, hosting a LEGO drive, or introducing us to families who could benefit.Â
